Social Studies

The Social Studies Department is beginning the implementation of  the History Fair.  Packets will be going home in the next couple of weeks for those students who will be participating.  The 8th grade classes will be studying a  unit on personal finance and budget to prepare them for their visit to the Junior Achievement Center in October.   We have also recognized Constitution Day on Tuesday, September 16.   This day honors the Constitution and its impact on our Country and those across the world.  The week of September 26-30 is Celebrate Freedom Week.   This celebrates the Declaration of Independence and what it means to  the citizens of the United States.
